Miro course

Get a complete introduction to the popular visual collaboration platform Miro and get equipped to facilitate meetings more effectively. The tool is extremely user-friendly and can be used for everything from project management and PI planning to keeping track of your own work, organizing meetings, brainstorming and supporting team-based collaboration. The course will include a thorough review of the basic functions and how these can be combined and customized to best support your own processes.

Introduction

Miro has become a popular tool for visual collaboration in all types of organizations, large and small. The tool is intuitive and can effectively support meetings, project planning, PI planning and brainstorming. Only your imagination sets the limits for the use of the tool. In addition, Miro can be integrated with a wide range of your organization’s other tools, such as Jira, Confluence and Office 365.

Participant profile

The target group is participants who want a basic knowledge of Miro. You can be a project manager, super user, or regular user of Miro. You do not need prior knowledge of Miro to participate.

Content

  • Basic introduction to Miro, including:

    • Creating and editing content

    • Navigating the different boards

    • Using and editing templates

    • How colleagues are invited to collaborate on content

    • Organizing teams, projects and boards

  • Introduction to basic Miro techniques including Post-its, adding text, images and more

  • Advanced features such as participant voting, use of timers, graphs and much more.

  • Concrete examples of using Miro

    • Facillitation meeting with Miro

    • Brainstorming with Miro

    • Retrospectives with Miro

  • Integration of Miro with other tools such as Jira, MS Office and more

Form when holding virtually

  • In our virtual courses, you access the course via the internet from your own computer

  • You log in via the link provided, where our trainer is ready to go through the course “live” with a group of participants

  • It’s a virtual course, so you can ask questions along the way

  • Make sure you are ready 5 minutes before the start and have tested that sound and microphone are working

  • Breaks and lunch will be scheduled as in an attendance course

  • You need a computer with camera and microphone connected and stable internet access

  • If you have a head-set with a microphone, that would be great, but not a must

Yields

After the course you will:

  • Know the basics of managing your Miro account

  • Be able to use Miro to effectively facilitate meetings, hold brainstorming sessions and use Miro for retrospectives

  • Have knowledge of basic and advanced features in Miro

  • Have knowledge of how Miro integrates with other tools

Course material

The course is held in Danish, but the material developed by the course organizer is in English. At the start of the course, a compendium with slides and exercises will be handed out. At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
