On-premise to Cloud: secure and controlled migration with no loss of data or operations
A public authority in the Nordics wanted to future-proof their IT platform and reduce operational costs by migrating from Atlassian Server to Atlassian Cloud.
The organization used Jira Service Management to handle citizen inquiries via both email and phone, and Jira Software and Confluence for internal task management and knowledge sharing. User management was integrated with Active Directory.
The decision to migrate was driven by the phasing out of server support and a desire to achieve a more scalable, secure and maintenance-free cloud platform.

Implementation

How to proceed

Testing in an isolated environment
Before the actual migration, a secure test environment was established where different scenarios could be tested without risk to operations.
