Introduction

In this customer case, you will be able to hear more about our collaboration with TimeLog, which is a software as a service company. TimeLog offers financial project management to consulting companies, such as consultants.

TimeLog's main challenge

TimeLog has developed a time registration system that they wanted our help integrating into Jira. Thus, they can prevent their users from having to register their time in both Jira and TimeLog.

Product and solution

To meet TimeLog’s demand for a solution that could prevent their users from making double registrations, we created an integration between TimeLog and Jira in the form of an app.
Now, users can find their customers, projects, and tasks in Jira, so they only have to register their time in one place. The time registration is automatically transferred to TimeLog, so double registrations and incomplete data are avoided.

Aety's approach

During the app’s development, TimeLog’s product manager, Niklas, sat as a tester with one of our consultants. Together, we found a perfect solution to find the product that suited TimeLog’s needs. Here, our consultant gave continuous feedback and shared his experiences with Jira and the related technologies so that TimeLog could get a good product out to its customers.

Result

The collaboration resulted in an app in Jira that enables TimeLog’s customers to retrieve their data from TimeLog into Jira. This avoids double registrations and incomplete data, allowing the users to report in TimeLog and Jira.
