aety becomes part of Communardo
Today, we are pleased to announce that aety becomes part of Communardo Group through Communardo Nordics, a leading European provider of consulting and software solutions for the digital workplace with a focus on the Atlassian suite.
Communardo Nordics is thus scaling up its existing Danish footprint and building on its presence in Denmark with a full Nordic delivery organization. With the merger, Communardo Nordics grows to nearly 100 Atlassian specialists across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, and Communardo Group is now more than 480 employees.
Aety’s current Atlassian consultants and management will continue in Communardo Nordics and will represent the company in Denmark.
What this means for Aetys Atlassian customers
aety joins Communardo to deliver an even stronger portfolio of Atlassian services and competencies. The same skilled consultants that our customers know today will continue to deliver the same high level of professionalism and technical insight in your solutions.
In addition to this, our customers now have access to Communardo’s full portfolio of services, including specialized consulting and technical advice across the entire Atlassian platform. With Communardo’s organization behind us, we can now offer our customers even more scalable support, faster response times and deeper specialist skills.
“What our customers will feel first is continuity – the same people, the same way of working, the same focus on results. What they will feel afterwards is reach. From day one, we can draw on deep cloud migration expertise, app development, AWS hosting and managed services from across Communardo Group. Especially for our larger government customers, this means a partner that can take them through the entire Atlassian journey – from strategy and architecture to long-term operations.”
– Kristian Thomsen, co-founder and sales director at aety
A strategic focus
Aety’s core business has so far been anchored around two primary technology partnerships: Atlassian and monday.com. The integration with Communardo Group only includes Aety’s Atlassian business.
To keep our focus razor-sharp, monday.com will operate as an independent entity going forward. This clear focus reflects Aetys and Communardo Group’s strategic focus on delivering an even more specialized service to our customers.
A Nordic Atlassian delivery organization
With the integration of aety, Communardo expands its Nordic market leadership and turns its existing Danish foothold into a full-fledged delivery organization.
The choice of aety as the Danish leg of the Nordic ambition was no coincidence:
As a certified Atlassian Enterprise Platinum partner, aety combines consulting, implementation and training. A key focus is projects in the public sector and large organizations with complex requirements – a profile that complements Communardo’s existing footprint in regulated industries and enterprise customers across DACH, Benelux and the Nordics.
“Aety brings three things that are very hard to build organically: an established customer footprint in Denmark, a local go-to-market engine that already knows the market, and a deep, certified delivery bench. Add to that, its strength in IT service management and complex public sector projects, and the fit with our existing Nordic platform – cross-border delivery muscle, app-based solutions, cloud capabilities – is almost ideal. From day one, customers in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark work with one Nordic team and one consistent way of delivering.”
– Mathias Carling, CEO of Communardo Nordics
A shared vision where strengths complement each other
“What convinced us is not size, but quality: a team with very deep Atlassian expertise, an excellent reputation in the Danish public sector and a culture that fits naturally with how Communardo operates. Together, we are now positioned to support customers across the entire Nordic region as their long-term Atlassian solution partner of choice.”
– Anja Hickey, CEO of Communardo Group.
It is not only in terms of skills and ambitions that aety and Communardo Group are an obvious match. In the process, it has been an important priority that there was also a cultural match.
“When we founded aety in 2016, the goal was to build the consultancy we would have wanted to hire as public sector clients – pragmatic, deeply technical and genuinely focused on creating business value.
Communardo shares that mindset and is fully committed to the Atlassian ecosystem. That match made the decision easy for us. By becoming part of the group, we put aety on a larger strategic playing field without giving up anything that has made the company what it is today: the same people, the same culture and the same commitment to our customers.”
– Klaus Hansen, co-founder and CEO of aety
